Matt Rutherford

Matt Rutherford has been in the mental health field since the year 2000, initially working as a case manager for mentally ill clients at a community mental health provider clinic in Arizona. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts in psychology and Creative Writing at the University of Arizona and his Master of Science in Counseling Psychology at the University of Utah. Having had a variety of jobs prior to New Roads, he has broad mental health counseling experience. He has worked at New Roads since 2013 and loves the challenging work, the amazing coworkers and the wonderful clients who receive services at New Roads. Matt enjoys reading, writing, watching movies, computer gaming, TTRPG’s and making music in his downtime. He has four children and has been married since 2000.
