Kevin McCauley, MD is a graduate of Drexel University College of Medicine (formerly the Medical College of Pennsylvania). He was a U.S. Naval Flight Surgeon for HMH-363 Red Lions Marine Heavy Helicopter squadron and VMFAT-101 Sharpshooters fighter/attack training squadron. He was the Director of Le Mont Michel, a sober living/recovery management program in Sandy, Utah from 2009-1013, and is a co-founder of the Institute for Addiction Study. His DVD “Pleasure Unwoven” won the 2010 NAATP Michael Q. Ford journalism award. He is currently a graduate student in Public Health at the University of Utah. Dr. McCauley became interested in the problem of addiction after witnessing the success of the Navy’s program for treating pilots with alcohol problems. He advocates strongly for the rights of recovering persons as patients and as valued members of society.
